Hey there.....
It is Wednesday afternoon and I am sitting at my Silhouette Cameo, sketching Ballet shoes I need for a swap.
I am loving the 3 Girl Jam bow maker that my friend Donna turned me on to. You can see her creations at
http://createdbydonnak.blogspot.com/. I met Donna a long time ago when both our husband were in the Marine Corps and stationed in NC. We met through a mutual friend and have been friends ever since. She is one of my inspirations as I move through this crafty journey. My other inspiration is my sister Karen. She encourages me and urges me on and challenges me to try different things,
Now for some pictures, although this card is not done yet, I want to share it anyway.I still have some
decoupage elements to add to it.

This is all for today....have a great night.

Here are some OWH cards I have done......

There are more that I have done, but these ar my favorites right now.
I'm back.....been a while, but here I am.  Hoping to get back to posting more and crafting more. I have begun making cards for OWH (Operation Write Home). It is an organization that collects homemade cards and sends them to troops overseas, so they can keep in touch with their loved ones at home. It is a worthwhile organization and as the wife of a retired Marine, I think  that doing this is a morale booster to both the Service member and his or her family and friends back home.

We lost our dog in April and my oldest brother in May so try as I might I am still having a hard time with both losses.

So on with the crafting. I will start posting pictures tonight of what I have done so far. Mostly cards for now. I am in to making box cards and love doing so. I will post some later.

This is all for now. happy scrappin'

Today is Thursday October 31st. happy Halloween. Been crafting off and on, trying new techniques, polishing up on the old techniques and just plain making messes.

This is a Tea Light Luminary with a flame-less candle inside. The shade is made from paper and edges inked and laminated. I added Beaded trim for fun.

This is a 3D Star card made with G45 Christmas paper.  The binding is hand sewn. The pages will be covered with G45 Christmas Past and vintage ATC cards will be added.

This is an Altered Printers Tray I made. I used various Paper Stacks as the inserts were so tiny. I embossed some of the embellishments, flowers and gems and pink glitter in a vial. There are Butterflies, Birds, nest and eggs I had fun making this.
This is about all I am going to write today. I am trying to get in the habit again and will be back soon.

Happy scrappin'

Long time no see....sorry, the spirit is willing, but I am not.  Been spending time here in my craft room, but not crafting sadly.  Life has been rather overwhelming lately and I just have no energy.  Hoping to get back in the swing of things.
I have been participating in swaps on the Cricut Message Board, and have received many beautiful things in return.  I am in constant awe of the many crafty ladies on that board.
My latest things were an altered mouse trap and an altered paint brush.  2 things you would never think to alter, IMO.....will post pictures soon.  I am in the middle of several more swaps....toilet paper roll album, ATC challenge, altered switch plate cover and last but not least chunky charms representing your favorite movie.  I picked Elf...always brings a smile to my face.  On the individual Chunky Charm swap my partner requested Charms representative of the Graphic 45 paper stack French Country, I believe it is.  I am hooked on G45 paper and would own all the stacks if I could afford them.
Well gonna close this out for now.  Take care and Happy scrappin'

I am back, yay.  Not much going on really, well that is not true, been doing a lot of crafting but I did not want to talk about it till I could show pictures.  I am in several swaps on the Cricut Message Board (what else is new) and have completed several of the items that I am sending/have sent and decided to share here.

The weather here has been rather erratic, freezing temperatures, snow, sleet, icy rain, and now it is 50 degrees. Just thought I would channel my inner weather girl and put that out there.

Without further ado, my completed projects.

The swap was a Pin cushion/stick pin swap.  My partner is a (cough) Dallas Cowboys Fan and I decided to do her pin cushion in Dallas Colors.  Here are the results

I used Dallas Fabric and the bow was Dallas blue with Silver Stars.  I bought some bottle cap images from Etsy and added them to the sides and top. The Stick pins were iridescent blue and silver.

I did a few things in between, but failed to take pictures.

I just completed a Spool Swap and here are my pictures. I got one of the ideas from http://www.scrapbook.com/gallery/image/other/3122119.html.  The first one is a wooden spool.  My partner wanted red and black so I covered the spool with paper from DCWV Immortal stack.  I added some flowers I received in a swap, a metal bow with charms hanging down. The charms I used were a butterfly, crown, small fairy, and heart shaped clock.  I also used metal flowers and some feathers.  The second one is a toilet paper spool.  I used Timeless paper stack and covered the spool with ribbon that she can use later.  The flowers are recollections and I smudged the edges with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo. Again I added feathers, obviously an obsession with me now and a Butterfly with a rhinestone center.
And last but not least is the card I made for this swap.
Hope to back soon with more crafty goodness
